CELTIC, Southern Gaul. Longostaletes. 2nd century BC. Drachm (Silver, 16 mm, 3.51 g), 'à la croix' type. Celticized male head to left; the hair devolved into pellets and volutes. Rev. Large cross with four pellets in quarters; each quarter bound by crescent. Flesche 145. LT -. SLM -. Very rare. A beautifully toned and particularly charming piece. Good very fine.
